Project Name:                         ASEAN Energy Policy and Systems Analysis Project

Project Description and Background:  

The project’s main aim was to enhance the capacity of ASEAN energy policy makers and planners. This would enable them to assess the impact and cost effectiveness of alternative energy policy options and lead them to formulate policies and programs to help meet the demand for energy services at least cost.

The project commenced on February 2002 and officially ended on March 2006.  The deliverables were completed within the contract due date and within the budget allocated.

SMEC was the Australian Managing Contractor tasked with managing inputs on all activities.
